My 1996 Slam Book

I got this idea from “Doc Love”, but I got the format from the girl he thinks I’m chasing. I don’t think Doc’s the slambook kind of guy. But I liked one of his posts and the idea of looking back at the glorious 90s. So I searched the net for different slam books. Some of them have the weirdest questions. But I will answer them anyway – as if it were 1996.

Favorite Color: Blue

Favorite TV Show: Baywatch

Favorite song(s): Lightning Crashes

Showbiz crush: Claudine Barreto (she used to be cute during those Ang TV and Post-Ang TV days), Laetitia Casta (that Spanish Guess Model), Rachel Leigh Cook (I don’t mind co-baby-sitting the little ones if the baby-sitter is as cute as her).

Favorite hobbies: driving around while singing the E-heads “Overdrive”, hanging out at a friends house, chatting (ICQ…hahaha), and playing basketball

Coolest hang-out: Hard Rock Café (yuck!) and the Malate area

Coolest thing you did this year: Got my driver’s license

The clothing brand I like to sport the most: Giordano (everybody wore them)

Your Ride:
My grandfather’s old ford (pathetic)

Favorite movie(s): With Honors, Dead Poets Society

The sports team you support the most is: San Miguel Beermen

The magazine you read the most: I had this “Time” and “Free Press” phase

The best book you ever read: The Little Prince (I thought it was profound, ha!)

Name and describe your best friend:
Cristine. She wears her heart out on her sleeve. Easily falls in and out of love. She’s smart, but stupid when it comes to boyfriend selection. Her love-adventures are so funny. (even up to this day)

Describe your first kiss: Awkward but nice. The second one was better.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor

If you could relive your life, what would you do differently? Not get into a fist fight in Gradeschool. My mom was very upset about that

If school was optional, would you go? Yes, for the allowance.

Have you ever told someone you loved them but not really meant it? Nope

Have you ever told someone you hated them but not really meant it? Yes, my parents.

Have you ever lied to your parents? Who hasn’t?

Have you ever lied to your boyfriend/girlfriend: Nope

If you could fly anywhere in the world, where would you go? Italy

Have you ever skipped school without permission? Yes, guilty!

Do you love someone but know that they will never love you? What would you like to say to them but can't? At that time, I would’ve told her: If any of those rich-brats love you more than I love you, I would kill myself. They are just in it for the fun. Mabubuntis ka lang, tapos iiwanan, tapos sasaktan. I may not amount to anything much today, but I will make it big someday. You just got to have faith. If you use your heart along with your head, you know you are better off with me. (I was so bitter. But then, I was right all along.)
